"We were thrilled the way the boat handled. What a solid ride. Great boat."

- Roger Smith,
Owner "J Sea"

The Hunt 72 is Hunt Yachts entry into the popular sport motor yacht market. This type has all the comforts and amenities of a true motor yacht, but with a more casual feel and style. There is more outside space and a sleeker profile. The galley is up in an informal main deck layout that is open from helm to transom. It is organized to be owner operated if so desired, but a crew quarters is included to ensure that option is covered. The 72 has three double staterooms each with an ensuite head. But the focus of the Hunt 72 is performance. The hull is a relatively slender 19’-6” beam with full dead rise. Engines are all the way aft on v-drives with fuel over the center of bouyancy for best weight distribution and minimum trim change. This boat is capable of going to sea when lesser boats stay in harbor. Top speed is over 30 knots.

The Hunt 72 was awarded “Best New Powerboat” at the 2016 Newport International Boat Show. Judges had this to say:
“It is impressive to see a boat this size that can be operated by the owner. This boat has over 80,000 man hours in its build and every hour was well spent. There is not one detail that hasn’t been addressed. Fit and finish are immaculate. The builder and owner were able to work together to build a spectacular boat. Not trying to sound cliché, but this is a timeless design.”
