Profile & Arrangement

Video

The long-running collaboration between Ray Hunt Design and Lyman-Morse continues with this 42-foot commuter yacht, intended to carry passengers to and from a corporate retreat island on Lake Ontario.

Seating is provided for twelve in the deckhouse, and up to eight more in the cockpit. Compared to a conventional cruising yacht, her arrangement is extremely simple, consisting of the afore-mentioned seating, and belowdecks, a small head and a cargo flat for passengers’ luggage.

Simplicity saves weight, leading to greater speed and efficiency, and twin 425-hp Cummins diesels give her a top speed of 32 knots. Propeller tunnels allow moderate draft and an efficient shaft angle, and bow and stern thrusters provide precise maneuverability in close quarters.

A full complement of drawings and calculations was submitted for U.S. Coast Guard approval.

This design will be available in four configurations - Flybridge, Cruiser, Extended Hardtop Cruiser, and Open - and with jet or traditional drives.
