The Long Range Interceptor (LRI) was developed by Willard Marine, Inc. of Anaheim, California for the USCG Deepwater National Security Cutter. It is a unique boat encompassing a number of special features.

Constructed from 5086 welded aluminum, the LRI is designed to be launched and recovered from the USCG National Security Cutter's stern ramp. The bow horn is designed to operate with the unique capture mechanism installed in the cutter for a safe and smooth launch and recovery.
