Once pilots are aboard, they want ample amenities to refuel and catch a quick nap between assignments. Lake Charles' pilot house offers two berths for pilots and a large lounge area with two reclining seats and a large settee and table arrangement. Down below is a head and galley. Powered by two 12V-92 Detroit Diesels, it is capable of a maximum speed of 27 knots and service speed of 24 knots. The boat features a roof-top boarding platform and full rescue features.
